February. Following, we’ll give you the fun-down, er, run-down on our
favorite shorty.
CLOSED EVENINGS
This month, we’ll have a couple of schedule quirks, owing to the
championship of the National Football League, the opportunity to get
ahead of spring cleaning and our need to host a belated holiday party
for staff.
On Sunday, February 5, we’ll close at 4 p.m. for repairs and to allow
you a football-filled evening with friends or strangers. After
struggling through multiple iterations of “what to do about the Super
Bowl?” we’re shutting down the shop for renovations, clean-up and the
like. NO Cocktail Museum on this Sunday.
We are closed all day on Monday, February 6, for additional repair
time and for the belated staff holiday party. NO Vinyl Side Monday,
obviously.
Owing to the above entry, we are closed until 4 p.m. on Tuesday,
February 7, to allow for hangover medicine to set in. Come by for
dinner, a post-work drink, or to hear DJ Kate, anytime between 4
p.m.-close.
SPECIAL EVENTS
On Tuesday, February 14, Dr. Jeff Hallazgo puts down the inoculation
needle and picks up the turntable needle, as he drops a special
Valentine’s Day spin on lovers and the lovelorn alike. This year,
we’ll again feature some poetic readings of particularly love-ly
songs, so bring some silly lyrics and a good voice.
On Monday, February 20, it’s the annual Presidential Beard Party. Real
prizes will be offered, like beard trimmers and beard brushes. The
festivities begin at 9 p.m. and roll through close. Begin preparations
now for the Presidential Beard Party by throwing away your scissors
and the cares of the shaven world! (Ladies are welcome in our
competitions, as are gentlemen.)

CLASSICS
Vinyl Side Monday every, you guessed it!, every Monday night after 10
p.m.. Bring a platter of vinyl. Play one side. If we like it, you’ll
be treated to a free beer. If not, you’ll be egged! (As noted above,
we’re closed on Monday, Feb. 6 for repairs and our corporate staff
party.)
Every Sunday, the tradition lives on with the Cocktail Museum.
Bartender Robert Griffin curates this tribute to the world’s best,
quirkiest, forgotten and simply tastiest cocktail creations. Come by
between 9 p.m.-midnight for these incredible offerings. (As also noted
above, we’ll not be open on Sunday, Feb. 5!)
