Yeswhat you're describing is expected behaviour. The main 1Password app will auto-lock following your 4-hour setting, but when you use Password AutoFill (the "? Passwords" button on the keyboard), you'll be asked to unlock 1Password each time, and as you've found, you can use Touch ID to do that. :)

I'm sorry for misunderstanding, I read your last comment as saying that a recent update resolved the issue. As Grey mentioned, it's normal that you have to unlock 1Password every time that you use Password AutoFill to fill a login from inside of another app: Use 1Password to fill and save in apps and browsers on your iPhone and iPad

But if you're using 1Password for Safari to fill a login into a website open in Safari then you won't have to unlock the extension every time that you use it: Get to know 1Password for Safari on your iPhone or iPad

I don't know what it is about this office, but it seems everything I touch (doorknob, bathroom faucet, edge of kitchen sink in the break room), I get zapped by static electricity. It's getting old. I feel like that scene in Office Space.

My chair usually creates a lot of static, so the same happens to me. What I usually do is to touch any big metal object before I get up (my desk is metallic, so I use that) to discharge myself. Another popular trick is to touch the doorknob, faucet, etc with a metallic object, so that the discharge goes from that instead of your fingers. Or you can use an antistatic strap, if it really bothers you.

Regarding the physical processes, when you rub against other materials (e.g. a carpet) you can get electrically charged. That's called triboelectric effect. If you then touch a metallic object, there will be an electrical discharge, like a tiny ray, that goes from your skin to the object and can be painful but not dangerous. If the air is dry (like in an office with air conditioning), you'll build more charge because the humidity makes the air ore conducting and you will slowly discharge with no sparks.

I developed a habit years ago of always touching the door first before touching the doorknob, or touching anything non-metallic before touching metal. It doesn't always work, but usually helps by transferring some of the charge to something that's not a good conductor (but hopefully not a good insulator). In Michigan during winter, this is a useful habit!

Over the past two days, every time I touch the screen on my Versa it asks me to input my password before I can access any of the data. I understand for my credit card and that is OK but exceptionally annoying for the data screens. This problem occurred some time ago and then disappeared.

Hi @GekoMelb When i first linked my card it was driving me crazy too. Someone suggested the option of using the pin for Fitbitpay only (the optionnis there and I hadnt noticed it). I only have to enter the pin when I actually want to use fitbit pay now. MUCH better

@GekoMelb Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm glad to hear that the tips that provided my friend @NellyG, helped you to get the issue resolved. Thank you for sharing your feedback about the device lock since this helps us to keep improving.

If my Left Phonak 312 has Bluetooth connection to my phone, every time I touch or use my phone it mutes the outside sounds until I stop typing or navigating on phone. I would expect it to do what it is doing if I had phone call or streaming music but not when I am just checking emails or trying to text?

As stated earlier there are a number of things that could fall under the generic term Notifications? And while yes I could theoretically try to go through them all and turned them all off, it would NOT be a solution. I need my notifications like emails, text etc. maybe not Amber alerts, ebay etc. I did see a Do Not Disturb option and turned it off and it made no difference.

I guess where I was going is that given that the R HA works fine with the same phone and phone settings, there must be something with the L HA and bluetooth? I was hoping it was obvious and someone may have seen.

I still think there is an explanation for the muting: The phone sends a sound for a split second, if keyboard sounds are activated. This activates the audio connection via bluetooth for 2-3 seconds. Even if there is no following sound to transmit (=silence or muted mics).

Strange is that it only happens for one HA. No idea for what reason.

And keyboards sounds are confirmed off. I have no need for that anyway. To be clear keyboard sounds were always off and bluetooth audio connection is already enabled, but connected to my my laptop or phone when issue occurs. I follow your thought process but if I am on video call meeting bluetooth is on laptop, so even tapping a keyboard should not Mute a external Bluetooth connection. But this issue occurs just tapping / touching the touch screen.

I can get around this problem by connecting my bluetooth to the R HA. I was hoping someone had seen, but apparently now. Another Call to Phonak and they said I need to unpair the opposite HA on the phone. I agree that prolly should be done, but it does not explain why it works with R HA and not the L HA.

There is notification to allow User (Me) to send Output to the Connected HA ( which for me right now is L HA) or the the Phone. I am experimenting with sending the Smart Things output to the Phone to see what happens.

This is just a wild guess, but do you have Magnifier turned on? It's an Ease of Access feature in Windows that will magnify your screen, or parts of your screen depending on the view. To turn off Magnifier in Windows 7, press the Esc + Windows logo keys.

If that isn't the problem, please respond with more details: What is your operating system? When did this problem begin, and do you remember making any changes before it started? Please describe in detail how the screen size changes.

This happens to me, too. As I am moving my cursor to the scrollbar on the right, the screen will get larger or smaller. Not sure what I am doing, but it is really annoying. This happens when online and I use Firefox. I have to say, Windows 8 is awful and such a nightmare to try and use. I don't even use any of the neat, new features because I can't figure out how to.

Does it still change sizes if you scroll using the scroll wheel on your mouse, rather than the scroll bar in the browser? After it changes size on you, what happens if you type Ctrl and + or - ? (Typically Ctrl and + will zoom in, Ctrl and - will zoom out).

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Windows 8. It is a lot to get used to. HP has a very thorough support document that might help you become more familiar with some of the features: Learning About Windows 8

On a new computer, I have had exactly the same problem. It seems at last to have stopped since I changed the touchpad settings (in Control Panel search for "touchpad") to enable scrolling. It seems that, without scrolling enabled, the touchpad was interpreting left or right movements as zoom instructions. I hope the remedy will continue to work for me - it is too early to be sure - and that this remark may be helpful to others.

The problem has not gone away. It still occurs from time to time. The effect, as described above (an unintended change of the size of the screen font), occurs perhaps only when editing text. On a browser not being edited, the unintended effect is that which you get (in Windows 8.1) by going to the top or bottom of the right edge of the screen and moving down or up. I can with certainty neither provoke nor avoid this effect, but I can more easily get it to occur, if (from any part of the screen) I swipe leftward twice in succession.

I have waited a few days to be sure and can now say with certainty that unchecking the pinch zoom in Control Panel /Hardware and Sound /Synaptics TouchPad V7.5 /Settings solves the problem of the changing of the screen font size. I no longer have to repeatedly use Ctrl-0 to return to normal size.

The related less annoying problem remains. Much less frequently, moving the cursor on the screen produces the unwished effect of opening the - I don't remember what it's called - visualizing not only the charms but the whole panel on the right edge of "Search Share Start Devices Settings". This then has to be removed by pressing Esc. I suppose this can be fixed by unchecking some other setting of Synaptics TouchPad V7.5. I don't have time to experiment. I know of no way of certainly provoking the effect, and therefore checking would take much time. It sounds like another defect of Synaptics TouchPad V7.5. Am I wrong?

Solved. One is not always aware of the position the finger when swiping the touchpad. If the finger happens to be at the right edge of the touchpad, it opens the charms menu. One must therefore learn to keep the finger away from the right edge when moving the cursor leftward.

I want to create a simple clicker game for android and I want that a text appears every time I touch the screen. And actually it works fine but the problem is that I have to wait for my text animation to end. So if I touch the screen the text appears for 1 sec but if I press again within this sec nothing happens until the animation is over. So how can I make that my animation is played every time I touch the screen? I made a simple text animation with the animation tool where the text appears, moves up and disappears after one sec. I have honestly no idea how i can realize that. Some help would be awesome.

I am looking for a way to trigger a little bash script I wrote to run every time the touchscreen receives input. I am assuming there is some sort of event handler somewhere that deals with touchscreen input I could tamper with to do this, but as I am not a very experienced linux user I have no clue where to start. Currently running Xubuntu 15.04, please let me know if you need more info than that (and how I can get it for you).

I'm having this 'problem' that people keep touching my screen in meetings, and, not expecting it to be a touch screen, mess things up. Now, rather than disable the touchscreen feature somehow, I though it would be very humorous to have my laptop protest, using a voice synthesiser, saying things like 'ouch' and 'stop poking me'. So I wrote a little script that cycles through an array of them and saves which one it last said in a text file, which I would like to trigger with every touch... :). I can't wait to see my colleagues faces.
