POSITION

Job Title: Java Lead

Location : Frisco TX - Locals Only

Duration: 12+ months

 

1. Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (11/17+)
• Deep understanding of Spring Framework and Spring Boot (REST APIs, Security, Dependency Injection, etc.)
• Experience designing microservices-based systems, including inter-service communication (REST, gRPC, messaging queues)
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and database design for both relational and NoSQL databases
• MySQL for transactional systems
• DynamoDB for low-latency NoSQL workloads
• Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics
• Experience working with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for indexing and querying large datasets
• Proficiency in data integration, ingestion, and transformation at scale
• Ability to design end-to-end distributed systems for enterprise applications

 

2. Cloud and Infrastructure

• Proven experience architecting and deploying solutions on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, API Gateway, CloudFormation, Step Functions, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Azure services and hybrid cloud environments
• Experience with cloud-native application design, scalability, cost optimization, and high availability

 

3. Big Data and Performance

• Experience with massive volume data processing and optimization
• Understanding of data partitioning, indexing strategies, query optimization, and horizontal scaling
• Familiarity with streaming or batch data processing frameworks is a plus (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Spark)

 

4. Architecture and Design

• Strong knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture, and API-first design
• Familiarity with 12-factor app principles, containerization (Docker), and service orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
• Understands data lineage, governance, cataloging, and security best practices

 

Nice to Have (Optional but Valuable)

• Prior experience with Data Lake or Lakehouse architecture
• Experience integrating with Snowflake external tables, data sharing, or Snowpipe
• Understanding of event sourcing, CQRS, or rule engines (e.g., Drools)
• Familiarity with GraphQL APIs, particularly if used for federated or abstracted data access
• Experience with multi-cloud strategies or cloud migration
