Role: GCP Data Engineer

Location: Connecticut

Visa: H1B

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources, including Snowflake and Google Cloud Platform-based data lakes.

Design and implement data models and pipelines using Python and SQL.

Develop dashboards and reports to visualize trends and support strategic initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights.

Write efficient, reusable Python scripts for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.

Leverage Google Cloud Platform tools (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow) to process and analyze data.

Optimize queries and maintain data integrity in Snowflake data warehouse.

Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of professional experience in a Data Analyst or similar role.

Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.

Strong SQL skills with experience in Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) especially BigQuery, Cloud Functions, or Dataflow.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes.

Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).

Experience working in an Agile environment.
