Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer (Sr. QE) with strong hands-on experience in test automation and deep domain expertise in Capital Markets / Trading systems. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks using Java, RestAssured, and Cucumber, along with extensive knowledge of the trade life cycle, FIX, and SWIFT messaging standards. This role requires close collaboration with development, product, and business teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable trading solutions
Key Responsibilities: Test Automation & Quality Engineering- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks using Java, RestAssured, and Cucumber (BDD).
- Automate API, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios for trading and post-trade systems.
- Ensure test coverage across functional, regression, and smoke test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure timely execution and reporting.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to drive resolution.
Perform in-depth testing across the trade life cycle including:
o Order creation and execution
o Trade confirmation and allocation
o Clearing and settlement
o Reconciliation and reporting
· Validate FIX protocol messages (order, execution, cancel/replace, trade capture, etc.).
· Test and validate SWIFT messages (e.g., MT/MX) related to post-trade and settlement workflows.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, market rules, and business requirements.
Technical Skills- 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering and test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java (test automation development)
- RestAssured for API automation
- Cucumber with BDD approach
- Solid understanding of API testing, JSON/XML payloads, and RESTful services.
- Experience with test frameworks, assertions, logging, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git-based pipelines).
- Extensive experience in Capital Markets / Trading domain.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade life cycle.
- Hands-on experience testing systems using:
- FIX protocol
- SWIFT messaging standards
- Ability to interpret business workflows and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality deliverables.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
