Hi Kate--here's a copy of this week's note:

Hello Everyone,

Great news, we have successfully collected our first month's
rent! Now, it's time to make our new space our own by doing some
cleaning and putting a fresh coat of paint on the walls.
Come this Saturday, April 2nd for a paint party from around
11am-4pm, everyone is welcome, whether you are a paying member or not.
It will be at 2715 Atwood Avenue. Please bring anything you think
would be helpful for paint and cleaning such as:

*interior paint
paint trays
rollers/brushes
paper towels
painting tape
and so on...

*If you have old paint that's been sitting around, it would be great
if you could stop by ACE hardware and ask them to remix it for us.

See you Saturday!

hey erica!

thank you so much for letting me know about the coop. it sound like it's going to be awesome!

since I'm totally new to this and have no idea what I'm doing, I don't feel comfortable paying dues just yet. I will do my best to attend any workshops, etc... this is something I've wanted to learn for a long time!

i really wanted to come to the painting party today, but my mom and grandma are going to be in town. I'm happy to see them of course, but bummed I can't come and help get the new space in order. keep me on the list and I swear I'll come to any meetings/events that I can!

on another note, how have you been? how is olive? we've been spending a lot more time at the dog park now that it's nicer outside. hopefully we'll see you soon!
