I just stumbled upon this tonight. I'm quickly trying to move a shop
out of Spring Green and hoping to have an open workshop set up asap.
The presses themselves need some TLC and only 3 of 6 have rollers, but
that's a start! I'm looking into leasing a shop in Mazomanie that
would house everything including the 20 cabinets of type, but I would
need help maintaining rent and new printing energy in the space. I'm
sorry I missed the meeting about your new space. What equipment do you
have as collective and Do you have a space for more than three months?

Kluge 12x18
C&P 12x18
Kluge 10x15
Heidelberg Windmill 10x15
C&P 8x12
Challenge Proof Press (not motorized)

Ideas?

Hi Cari,

Sounds like an exciting haul!

The coop lease has the possibility of an extension, but the focus for
now is on forming the group and not getting heavy equipment until we
develop a structure and better sense of who we are and what we can
sustain. (Letterpress/relief and silkscreen have been the print media
identified as priorities for the longer term.)

Others should weigh in here, but for now we've been trying to avoid
moving hastily or getting heavy equipment. Immediate plans are for on-
the-fly sorts of printing activites, and it looks fairly certain that
we'll have a modest but manageable show card press to move in--
probably next week. Since few members already have letterpress
training, a Kluge or Heidelberg are definitely out of our league, and
we're not taking loans of any press equipment at the moment.

That said, everyone is going to want to meet you and hear about what
you are up to! Please stop by Saturday for the paint party if you can.
Good luck with everything and keep us posted.

Do you know about Whispering Woodlands. Check out their site.
