Hi folks,

In searching for a class I stumbled upon your group.  I have 11 years of purchasing under my belt but I recently took a position where I purchase printing services for my agency.  Co-workers come to me with projects that they want to bid out to the best/most inexpensive printer.  I have little knowledge about printing and am looking for a good class or some resources that would help educate me on the subject.  Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you.

Sincerely,
Jeannie McCarville

Hello Jeannie-

It sounds like you need to learn about commercial printing. This group
is focused on printing as an art form.

I suggest that you talk to your local community college (MATC here in
Madison). Or to talk to your local printing services. Their sales
people would probably be keen to show you what they do. Knowing which
company is good at what is very valuable trade knowledge. You might
even be able to find a local print brokering service that would take
care of the details for you.

Hi Jeannie,

We are a group just starting out,

and we do fine art printing. It sounds like you are looking for more
large scale printing, but let us know if this is not the case.

Good luck in your search,

Emily
