Hey all here is a possible statement for the show. Please feel free to
tear it apart.

Point of View: The Veteran Print Project is an attempt to link a new
generation of Wisconsin veterans up with their community by inviting
them to share their stories with the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and a
group of local artists. After the oral history has been documented, an
artist from The Madison Print Cooperative will be assigned to listen
to the story. A reflection of that story will be created through a
fine art print. The resulting prints will be exhibited at The
Wisconsin Veterans Museum in March of 2011. The show will bring artist
and veteran together to share their points of view on the same story.
It will be an invitation to the community to come experience the
amazing stories of our newest generation of United States Veterans and
the wonderful artwork of The Madison Print Cooperative. University of
Wisconsin Vets for Vets plays an integral role in this project as it
offers participants in the project, the conductor of oral histories,
and a veteran artist whose print will be autobiographical. The project
includes eight veterans whose histories range from the Persian Gulf
War to Guantanamo Bay to Afghanistan and Iraq. The artists, whose role
is equally integral, are students, faculty and alumni of the
University of Wisconsin as well as local printmakers and members of
The Madison Print Cooperative. Point of View: The Veteran Print
Project. Eight veterans, Eight artists, One Legacy.

Somehow this slipped by me when it got posted (I see by the date) and
I'm sorry I didn't take note at the time. It sounds good to me except
for one part I thought was confusing and that was the phrase ". . .and
a veteran artist whose print will be autobiographical." I guess the
quickest fix would be just to change this to "biographical."

And maybe before the first appearance of the phrase Madison Print
Cooperative you could add "newly-formed," in case no one's heard of
us yet.

Does this help?
