a question about our new space

With Craig Grabhorn's permission I'm posting correspondence we had via
email today. Since others may have similar questions, we thought it
would be most useful to have this in Google Groups.

I am considering this for a couple reasons.
1. community
2. equipment I don't currently have access to.

Is there an idea of what the space will house for the first 3 months?
as far as equipment.

We've been talking about simple letterpress and silkscreen. We're
trying to resist getting a lot of stuff, but Laurie (from Procession
of the Species) has some wonderful wallpaper printing tables she's
willing to lend us. And I'm making arrangements to bring in a good
sized show card press with a stand that has wood and larger sized
metal type--all a plain sans serif but looks to be in decent condition
and complete. We hope to get it in early in April. That seemed like a
good starter kind of press for us. (Jim Moran from Hamilton
volunteered to come down and help us sometime, too, and that would be
great promo for our group/space.)

So, possibly point # 2 is something you wouldn't have already, and as
to point # 1, that's my interest as well. I suspect there are dozens
of people who are interested but that there will be around 12 - 24
active users. Not certain at all what's going to happen, but I'm
excited we're getting started on an actual space.

We can use your energy, so whatever you decide I look forward to
seeing you there sometime.
