Hey everyone! Just stumbled across this group through a random google
search - I've always had a love of letterpress (I remember watching
some PBS special on movable type presses as a child and was in awe)
but I'd love to learn the ins and outs of this art form.

I took a look through several pages of past messages but hadn't hit
upon anything that indicated a person who might be in the mood/
position to teach (mostly the basics...I have a project in mind and
letterpress could definitely be an asset/direction I'd like to take).

Can someone out there help me out? I'm in Madison so most locations
of wherever you are would likely be just fine!

Cheers,
Carolyn

Dear Carolyn,

We currently have a small amount of wood and metal type for our sign
press and there have been open hours/classes on how to use that proof
press. Our goal is more letterpress, so watch for updates. We'll keep
your contact and send you news when there's something you might like.

Check out Whispering Woodlands in Verona for letterpress
opportunities, too.

Best,

Tracy

Hi Carolyn,
Whispering Woodlands is a drive to Verona but they have letterpress
workshops
I know there were some in June. Maybe there will be more if enough
people
are interested.
