Agree with Wayne and Diane that the police attack dogs somehow give
the wrong impression. Love the idea of the Wamplers having a booth
where they can introduce children to puppies and dogs and show the
children how to hold them etc. Have not heard from Doris yet but maybe
we could ask her to give some grooming demonstrations. We should have
a booth with collars, leaches etc. and should also ask the M of
Agriculture to come and set up a booth for licensing of dogs since
that is now mandatory and only can be done in either Rock Sound or
Hatchet Bay so of course nobody gets licensed. Feel the whole idea
of the show should be to teach children and adults how to care for
their dogs.
Leslie, when you mention Gov.Harb. and South exactly what do you
envision? Posters or actually having someone there?
Am sure with everyone onboard we should be able to pull this one off
though I do not agree with the Cocktail party night before, feel it
will dilute from our annual fundraiser.
Will be happy to pick up and put up the judge, she is a friend from
Nassau and since I am not entering any dog in the show here can be no
favoritism.
If Cindy can be prevailed upon to deal with the food, she did such
a stellar job last time, we are a big step ahead .
For ribbons How about first, second and third and one best in show.
We need to decide on how many and what classes.
Toni would make and excellent judge for the fancy dress. Last time we
had best groomed, bess behaved, best handled, should we add two
confirmation classes? Potcakes and Crossbreeds?
Martina will sign contestants in and give out armbands which I hope
to get from Pedigree.
Wonder if Lynne would be good enough to handle the Pet Pal stall,
selling stuff and generally give out good advise.

Hello everyone,

its a great idea again, hope lots of ppl will attend and see that potcakes are great dogs not just purebreed ones.
there fore i would not recommend 2 different classes... a dog is a dog, my opinion, everyone (dog) can learn same thing,
but as we did last time by haveing adult handlers and kids i think that would be a great idea.

i will help with anything u wish me to do of course. i only cant promise that i will be here at the moment.
we have put our house for sale and got some interested people. so if anytime my house sells before that i wont be here anymore.
I will surely miss u all, but where i go i will do the same and more if i can than i was doing here.
helping dogs.
so i keep u posted with my status here and just in case i m still here asign me to anything.
grooming i can do of course.

Hi, I'd be happy to handle the Pet Pal stall! I'm leaving next week for 2 weeks but will be back on the 16th August and will keep apprised with emails. I have 7 animals that I'm caring for; 2 of them until late Oct so I'm a little crazy now. Lynne

Great Monique, you are a very good salesperson and would be sure to
make the stall look pretty as well. This would free up Lynne to
"marshal" and keep track of winners etc.

It was suggested to me that we should invite more than just TB.  I think that is ok, but at this point would not spend a lot of time other than to put up posters to announce it. let's see how this goes first.   Who is going to do the posters?

I really like the idea of having the Agricultural Dept. set up a booth.  Joan.....can you make this happen?

Who is volunteering to make the ask for goods from the local stores?  If we are going to advertise in GH, then we can ask their stores as well.

Hi gang! Leslie your list sounds very good to me. I will contact M.
of Ag. and the Pedigree agents in Nassau. Save Lynne for some other
position, Monique who is a great salesperson has volunteered to do
the Pet Pals stall. Lynne is very pulled together and I am sure we
will need her to keep records. For the PP stall we do have some
collars mainly small and very large, need some medium also leashes. We
do have a bunch of very narrow leaches however they have a tendency to
knot up. If anyone has any ideas of other things we can sell that
will not be too expensive to bring in please speak up. Does Toni have
any toys left from the fundraiser?
Toni told me of your idea of giving dog-books as prices. Great idea.
Have a poster left from last show, perhaps we can work around it.
Toni has the big Dog Show sign that's still good so we don't need to
get a new one.

we really need a BLAST  on the posters. Also in churches .VERY impt. If it is heard from the pulpit then .............  I think an email Blast would be good also........we do have a somewhat list but it is mainly winter residents. Maybe we could prevail  on Lynne to do this. It is a pretty important job to see that we are blanketed......Maybe the Bouncer could help, Phyllis Kemp, DCMS kids, Peggy Collick wants to really particiapte (she is building a house I GHB and was PR/ADV for ATT)   Sally has her as do I. Maybe we can have a PR Committee............. spreading the word is A #1

hey all

was thinking that someone could do some baking and we could also sell cookies as kind of fund raising for petpals? dont know just an idea, i m not good in that, so someone who knows how to bake should do it maybe????

maybe we can sell some dogtoys also? if we have some?

some gift certificates for grooming? in different values?

any other ideas?
