Good morning Cleveland,
Marilyn Burns, a Buckeye-Woodhill resident for more than 20 years, has become the go-to contact for community members in need. That’s what makes her one of Cleveland’s many unofficial mayors, who reside in neighborhoods across the city and who we have been highlighting all year. Often, they are more plugged in than any city official. In fact, Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb often calls Burns the mayor of Woodhill.
Signal Cleveland Community Reporter Najee Hall today introduces us to the outspoken Burns, a health advocate and precinct committee member for Ward 6. She is continuing her family’s legacy of community service. She also is setting her sights on bringing more art to neighborhoods by partnering with students from Kent State University. |
