It seems that the developer is still cashing in money but is not giving any support anymore for over 3 months.

The price wasn't cheap but now an lot of us are stock with an not fully working pos system.
which the basics of the system is pretty good but there are many small bugs in it.

Maybe as an community we can start our own support group and develop the extention to the next level since the developer is gone missing.
Or did somebody get any contact or reply from the developer lately?

I would like to be part of a community driven support for this.
I luckily have been mostly issue free when using OnePOS.

I do also hope the original developer is well and healthy.
I do remember that he was very active in supporting this at the start and for sometime after.

Hello BillyBoyle,

I think we all hope he is well and healthy and maybe has other issues on his head.
Unfortanly an lot of webshop owners need an good working POS functionality with decent support.
I have no trouble paying for it but we need to be sure that we can have support.
Unfortanly he's already out for 3 months and nobody knows what happened.

Lets first make an list of isues so we can see what we have to handle.
Bugs I know about.

-Random selection of customer
The system doesn't always fall back to it's default customer settings, when not noticed an customer from an few order earlier get's an email with the receipt of another customer.

-Items disapearing from shopping cart
I've noticed several times that products where disapearing from the list but their value stays at the bottom of the page.
Which is causing incomplete invoices for customers with wrong values at the bottom but also can cause that an customers pays twice for an item.

-Stock value
In several occasions especially when changing orders with different states it withdraws stock but sometimes even several times.
So when selling just one item, it could be that it has been withdrawed from the stock 3 times. Causing issues with the stock values.

-Errors at webshop for the system logged in as POS user.
When items are added to the shopping list for the customer, and for support needs the user needs to go to the webshop it shows an list of errors at the top of the webshop.
Showing 2 errors for every item in the shopping list.

Perhaps other people can add items to this list?

Our company has extended some of the features of this Point of Sale system. However, we find many of the features were broken in our version and some items were not put together well or taken in to consideration. Tax was never calculated based off of payee tax zone id and that was something that needed to be resolved for a customer of ours. We resolved this by rewriting how the taxes were calculated and allowed for dynamic updates when the payee information was changed. Also, the default customer should never be edited if you want to track store customer history. Instead, a new customer should be added. Additionally, In Store Dummy was hard-coded in several places making it an embarrassment for store associates when they would reprint a receipt.

With all that said, we will likely be building a new POS for OC from the ground up soon. This will likely be something simpler than OnePOS, but will integrate in to the back end a little smoother. We would be interested in being part of a user community for the POS, but it may likely stagnate. I can keep you all posted on the development of the new POS if you like.

Hyrograsper, how we can be sure if you make new Pos that there will be support after 6 months... after 1 year?
i get suspicious after OnePos developer disappear, haha.

I don't have tax problem, maybe i use OnePos different way, because all sales report seems legit.
