Is your summer a solution?

hi all,

I am writing to invite you to participate in one of the most rewarding programs I have ever experienced.  I used to spend the summer feeling generally bored and like I had to put all my great change making energy on the back burner, now I see my summer as my best opportunity to create change!  I have helped launch clean energy non-profits to serve neighborhoods (2008) and I have helped over 1/3 of a neighborhoods residents take actions to reduce their carbon footprint (2010)...  Its mind-blowing what you can do in a summer!

In the last 3 years a program called Summer of Solutions has grown out of a national collaboration between youth activists who are oriented toward creating locally based solutions to the social, ecological, and economic challenges we face as a society.  There are 15 programs around the country to choose from, all doing an wonderfully diverse set of projects for the summer, and are all in search of you!!  I am participating in one in Portland, OR, (my favorite city to spend the summer in... also where I live)!

Priority registration is in full swing and all registration will close in mid-April.  An amazing community of young people are aggregating for the summer.  Will you be among them?
