Hello NICE'ers!

*Don't forget !!!
*Do Tank this Saturday (7-26-08) from 12 p.m.- 3:30/4 p.m.!!! We
will meet at the Southeast Uplift building (3534 SE Main St.), and
will continue to rock the
Neighborhood Energy Survey ... and the treats =)
P.S. We will try to have a potluck/shindig/hangout afterwards, so make
sure to stick around!!!

In other news!!!...
This week has been an AMAZING week for the SunNE project, and us folks
in the office just wanted to let you all in on the great news!!!!

This week, the NICE had the most participants for it's "think" and
"do" sessions EVER!!! 22 "Thinkers" and 10 "Do'ers" came together to
help make renewable energy a reality for the Sunnyside Neighborhood!
WOW!

A Special thanks to all who came!!!

- *Do Tankers:* John, Michaela, Claire, David, Peter, and Jenny!
Thanks to you guys! We are well on our way to getting 100 surveys
from the neighborhood, in fact, I think we'll blow that goal out of
the water!!! Thank you so much to everyone for taking some time to
create some neighborly karma and friendly, sustainable fun!

- *Think Tankers: *Brady, Malori, Shane, Randy, Sepp, Charles, Aaron,
Jenny, Rebecca, Camila, Sasha, Christine, Adam, Mary, Michaela,
Claire, Kathryn, Julian, and Luke! Whew!

A special thanks to Charles Nail who helped the NICE lead this
"think" session! Every Tuesday, us NICE'ers have been blown away by
the enthusiasm and great ideas that you "thinkers" bring to the table.
It is because of you guys and your amazing insight that the NICE will
be able to help replicate this project for students everywhere across
the nation. This will help jumpstart the energy transition of America,
and help provide "green", purposeful jobs for students, lift people
out of poverty, and help re-energize the way Americans use energy
(whether that be socially, politically, or electrically/thermally)!

As always, I look forward to our LAST Think and Do Tanks (same NICE
time same NICE
place) next week. We'll be discussing ways to make the NICE a
replicable models, and what it means for shaping the future of
education and community!
NICEly,
Lacey
