ZAB case: SC asks govt to correct legal flaws in presidential reference


Islamabad: The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday resumed hearing on the presidential reference seeking court opinion in Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto case.

A three-member bench of the SC comprising Chief Justice Ifitikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Ghulam Rabbani and Justice Sair Ali was hearing the case.

During the hearing the CJ observed that no question of law had been raised in the reference and court could not form a larger bench unless the legal flaws are addressed in the reference

                  US drone strike: children, women among 25 killed in N Waziristan


                  Peshawar: A Us drone fired four missiles on a house in north west Pakistan’s  tribal region near Afghan border, killing 25, including three women and five children, and injuring several people, official sources said on Friday.

                  The drone  targeted the house in Mir Ali, area of North Waziristan some 35 kilometers east of the main town of Miramshah.

                  Official requesting anonymity, said that number of causalities were feared to be increased.
