I have installed windows XP and bought a new modem for my computer
since the old one wasn't compatible with windows xp, now I have a
problem, the computer doesn't play any sounds because it doesn't
detect any sound devices. I checked my computer and found there's a
"sound riser card" which was connected to the old modem with a plug
(is the sound riser card, the same as the sound card?) but I can't
find anywhere to plug the sound riser card to... (It had a plug
connected the old modem card, my new modem card doesn't have anywhere
to plug that thing), is that a sound card? what should I do to solve
the probem? and If i buy a sound card would that solve the problem?
thanks !
