All of a sudden I start getting a banner reading "Windows Me Windows
Millenium" running up the side of my start menu. I did a system restore and
it was not there anymore. Has anyone had this happen before, and what causes
it? I want to reverse the system restor I did but this banner has me
wondering what else has changed with my system. Any ideas would be
appreciated.

That happens when you have to start in 'Safe' mode. The screen mode
is changed and the Desktop icons are repositioned too. The Taskbar
becomes non-hiding so you can see where it is.

This depends upon the "Size" and number of entries on the start menue, if
the size is
reduced the banner will disappear, if you
increase the size and fonts it will come back.
