"It does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are 20 gods, or no
god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."
— Thomas Jefferson
Fanaticism, fundamentalism and zealotry towards others are all a
projection of an individual or groups fear and lack of belief in the
principles in which they claim to espouse. Extremism is the result of
an attempt to dominate what is outside the self and change others
since they won't improve the conditions inside themselves or their
immediate environment. Extremist direct their focus of wrath and
hatred on others to evade finding real solutions to attempt control by
repeating the same errors, thereby fabricating a sense of familiarity
by making the same consistent mistakes. This is true of the nation
and leaders that take others to war or the religious teachers that
find fault in everything except their own world view.
It is the victim mentality leaving people using, "poor persecuted me"
while pretending to be self righteous even as they behave like demons
and until these people wake up and take a personal solution oriented
vision, nothing will improve for them and they make matters worse for
others, a shared hopeless vision of destitute and conflict.
Those who see tolerance need not loath or hate them, thereby
perpetuating the mind virus, you can simply respond with love and
sympathy since at some point, you to have been a victim of this tragic
circular logic just as I have been. If what they believed had been
true, it would have manifested itself abundantly a long time ago so
all could witness without fear, anger, hatred and doubt. The only
solution is simply LOVE.
Where focus goes, energy flows.. focus on the things you love.
