Dear TMD Followers,
A new article as been posted to The Musical Disconnect, called "Land
of the Free?" It takes a hard look at the real price of the world of
streaming services.
If we lived in an economy that was based on the payment rates to
artists by streaming companies things would be quite different:
A top of the line iPad would only cost $2.20, a gallon of gas would
only be $0.0126 and a lobster dinner would only be $0.19.
Too bad the average salary in the U.S. would only be $158.20 a year in
such an economy...
