Dubai city is located on the northern edge of the Emirate of Dubai and is divided by the Dubai Creek, a 100 to 1300 meters wide and about 14 km long bay of the Persian Gulf. There used here, the once independent city-Daira on the north and Bur Dubai on the south side. Bridges are only slightly away from the town center, pedestrians will be transported by little passenger ferries (Abras) on the opposite side.

 

The city is spread mainly to the south along the beach of Jumeirah and Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai as bounded on the north directly to the Emirate of Sharjah. In the past across the border city of Sharjah live because of cheaper rents, many of the workers employed in Dubai. via
