Happy Halloween!

I was gonna start off this e-mail, before the storm, with an official "iNTO the MiCKS" Happy Birthday! to my brother-drummer Sammy. Then talk about all the fun we had this weekend at The Ghost of Uncle Joe Masquerade Party in Jersey City's Harsimus Cemetery when JC soul couple, Jeff & Vera Marino of The One & Nines, our good friend Roopa (I love how we still don't know your last name Roopa -that's Prince mystique :) -and us MiCKS tore through a high-profile Fleetwood Mac cover set in front of six-hundred people (probably over 1,000 if you count the graves) clad in kimonos, Shakespearean vests, body-hair-baseball jerseys, blonde wigs, and gypsy gowns... and ahhhh! I can't wait until next year!

Then Sandy showed up. (ON Sam's birthday -last year he was snowed in. This year he's super-stormed!)

So let me say, we hope and pray, that you guys are staying dry and sewage-free this week. Our hearts go out to Hoboken's own, trapped 2 or more stories up or wading through waist-high water, trying to figure out their next meal in the dark while their car floats down the street. -I'm paraphrasing a first-hand account :(

In the midst of all this, here's something I hope you can look forward to. On NOVEMBER 16th, when the water's gone down, the sidewalk is dry, the delis are drained, and the bars are brewing again, The MiCKS will release their self-titled, debut album at Maxwells in Hoboken. Our performance will feature all the players on the album including Matt Ryan & Jovan Alvarez of The Defending Champions on trombone & trumpet, Audrey Turner & Vera Sousa Marino of The One & Nines as the "She-Could-Be-My-Girls" on back-up vocals plus probably more!

This release is what we call MiCK-LiMiTED! This is the one and only day in November that you'll be able to buy a copy of the record. It won't go on iTunes, Spotify, etc and it won't be available for mail order until December 14th.

-It would mean so much to us that the lot of you be at this show. We sweat it, spaced out and concentrated a helluva lotta work on this record and we'll be showing up in 'Boken to truly celebrate it. So if you're free that night, frizz your hair, fill your wallet with cash and come out for song and dance, shirts and merch -and of course, your signed copy of our first real record, available in CD and vinyl (w/ free downloadin' cards).
