We are getting ready to begin a remodel in our condo.  I misplaced David's phone number.  Could someone please respond with his number?  I would greatly appreciate it.

I can't find anything under the BBB or CA General contractors board.  Is this man bonded, certified, and a contractor in this state?  Has anyone used him?  Please share if you have- either good or bad.  I want to do my homework.

I am wondering how anyone can use them when they will not call you back or email you back. We had David come by and look at a drawer that was broken. He said he needed a part and we never heard from him again even after numerous phone calls and emails.

I'm not sure if Mora & Associates Inc. is licensed but I would assume he is since he does a lot of work for the HOA and they all need to be licensed.
It's so nice to have a handyman that can come out quickly as long as you are able to reach him.
He came out to help me out with a dishwasher situation  recently but unfortunately did not get fixed and had to bring in someone from the outside.
His done a few things for me and his prices are reasonable.

For a big remodel project, I think it might be better to go with someone else though.

David has done some work for me and some work from the HOA for me.  His work is well done.  He's been working with the Met when it was just apartments and not called the Met... so well over 20 years.  I do know that he is always busy... I'd be surprised if he wasn't licensed because I don't believe the Met would have him working for them if he wasn't.  His work room is in building 5, just as you come in to the garage area (on the right).  Ron (from the office) is here a lot as well.  There's only a couple of guys that work with him, so keep trying... I'm sure he's fairly swamped.

Why is there so much hostility towards him?  There are other general contractors around that I'm sure are as good.  David has always been a very nice person to deal with, always with a genuine hello and smile.  VERY fair prices and great workmanship.

That is my question? Why do you care so much about David Mora's license. If you were really interested in your re-modeling, you would free to call someone else and who ever you like. If you want to know if he is really licensed, why don't you ask him yourself and save time

Hello All!

David Mora has done work for many of my clients. I've had clients quote other painters and carpet installations against David and his quotes were considerably cheaper.

Like Yuka said, it is very convenient to have someone so close for many of the handyman type needs. He's come to the rescue for many clients that have had minor issues at their units.

His response time is not the best, but I've found that is common for the contractors that are in demand. Just in the last 3 months, I've sent David referrals to 4 or 5 clients who need some remodeling (paint and carpet) and they were very pleased with his work.

Have a great day!

My dad is a retired 90 year old contractor. My condo is my largest investment. It is important to protect your investment. I do my homework before hiring someone. I want someone that is licensed, bonded, and insured. I am not hostile towards him. In fact, I met him and found him to be very nice. I will get 3 estimates and make an educated decision. I am surprised others wouldn't do the same.

David is not just a handy man.... He's done dry walling, roof leaks, plumbing issues, and on and on..... He's got all of us as references, he's been here over 20 years.... you can find him here, most all days of the week.  He does take the weekends off... "sometimes"... lol  But seriously.... if you find someone good and you like their work, be sure to share the info here because, I'm sure, there are many others around here that would like to have the information.  Good luck!

David is definitely licensed, bonded and insured.  I was concerned about this as well before I hired him last year.  I believe the company is listed as M&A Inc..  After the reconstruct at The Met, I received a copy of the permit that was filed.  Not only did he assist with the remodel of our condominium at The Met, he is doing a complete renovation on a home we just closed escrow on November 20.  We sold our condominium, and I believe his work sold this unit.  He ensures that his men are respectful and professional.  He starts them off in the am and always is on the job site at the end of the day.  While working on your property, he will phone you or text you with any questions he has.  This am when the team was ready to begin renovating the kitchen cabinets, he noticed that there was a cracked grill on our brand new stove.  He sent me pictures via text and I went and took a look at it when I got off work.  I phoned Whirlpool and the grill is being replaced without a charge.  He insists his men clean up the property before they go to lunch and do the same at the end of the day.  He has done a complete kitchen remodel, walk in shower, floors, removal of popcorn ceiling and paint, electrical, plumbing, etc.  He will always be the contractor I call.  In addition, I have one other contractor I am currently using.  He did not cover appliances, clean up after cutting quartz in the garage, and David insisted his team clean it up and reported it to me.  Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.  We are moving in one week.

Mora & associates does not shown any contractor license number, maybe he is using some else license. Have checked and also call the contractor license both and they could not find any license number under that name. I have hers that he uses ilegal immigrant to do the work and that is dangerous if they have an accident inside your unit you are liable and will pay for damages to those worker because is your job to be diligent when you hire construction workers.

David Mora is one of the nicest people I know.... did a lot of work on my condo and has been with the Met since it's inception, some 30-40 years ago!  His work is great, his prices are even better and he has done things for me and didn't even charge me!  He is polite, responsible, punctual and his crew have always been respectful of me and my belongings.  And Nancy Matos, he is here quite legally and I'm also sure that the Met would not let anyone illegal work here either.  They are legally responsible for the staff.  So your "I know for a fact that he is illegal" is BS and you have absolutely NO RIGHT to slander him or anyone else.  Also, you might want to improve on your spelling and keyboarding.  Some of your insults about him I can't even understand!  I just don't understand why it is ok to be so ugly about people you don't even know.

I agree. David and his team has helped many, if not all homeowners at one point or another. He is great at what he does and a a big asset for our Met community.
Sad to see you go J&J, all the best to you and your family.

I just had David remodel my bathroom here at The Met. Not only am I extremely happy with the outcome but I know for a fact David is 100 percent licensed, insured and bonded.

You can find his license on the CSLB license check website below.

Most people know him as David Mora but his real name is David Santibanez. When I asked about the different business name he explained he operates 2 business. I believe one is a general contracting business and the other a cleaning business. I verified this with the HOA office myself. Both of his certificates of insurance are on file at the HOA office, as required by the rules. They also maintain a copy of his contracting license, also required by HOA rules.

Anyone concerned can reach out to HOA office or David himslef for copies of these documents.

Nancy Matos you need to stop with the libel. As most of us can attest to David is a fair and kind person and does not deserve to have rumors spread about him.

Your problem Is reading and understanding what you read.   For your knowledge and those who read this post David Mora uses DAVID SANTIBANEZ & STRATER PARTNERSHIP LICENSE., check this information for yourself on the website of the California Contractors license Board.  U
am not insulting anybody, just concerned about someone who will enter my space to work and not following the law, as we all do in exercise of being the bread winners for our family.  I am not going to respond to your post after this one.   GOOD  NEIGHBORS  PROTEC THEMSELVES AND PEOPLE IN YOUR COMMUNITY
