I've lived in several condominium complexes and there are always rules/
people/etc. that I don't care for, but I realize they aren't in place
to address my personal whims. That being said, I love my little piece
of the world at the Met. Remember, guidelines are for the greater
good of the community, not the individual. Here are a couple of
things that I've noticed:
1. Cars are towed from the visitor spots after an extended grace
period. For example, if the pass expires at 8AM they usually give at
least a couple of hours before calling a tow truck;
2. The HOA guidelines state that we can only have a set amount of
people as pool guests. There are 1,000+ people living in the
community and it could get unruly if a couple of people in our
community were constantly using the pool area for group gatherings;
and
3. The security guards are here to enforce the rules and keep the
peace. Sometimes it sucks to be on the receiving side of enforcement,
but we live in a close community and need to respect everyone's right
to peace. I can appreciate a little rigor in checking cars into the
front gate. I'm sure people that are afraid of dogs appreciate Shadid
asking me to leash my dog.
