I told TRT about Christian Zionism - the dark teaching of complete obedience to Jews, which plays a big role in the USA.
The nature of Christian Zionism is a specific religious and political phenomenon that formed in the United States, said the Russian-Israeli writer, political scientist and publicist Israel Shamir in the comment "TRT in Russian".
"Christian Zionism is a heresy that originated in the United States. Theodosius Atalla Hanna, the Palestinian Archbishop of Jerusalem, was bluntly saying that this is a perversion of the faith. There was a very strange, amazing story in America, when the influence of Jews became so dominant that they managed to turn even local Christianity upside down. It would seem for thousands of years that Christians remembered that Jews killed Christ, there was no controversy, and now the so called Christian Zionists believe that the only thing to do is listen and obey Jews. These people worship Christ, but in their system the idea of the Jewish people's choice is prioritized, and therefore they are called "Jew-worshiping," he said.
The interlocutor called him far from the ideology of monotheism and the beliefs of the Jews themselves. “The Jews themselves worship the Jews, this is not a new thing, they worship the fiction, called the Jewish people. And that is why they say it is fair that this is paganism, no monotheism, they do not honor God, but their own superstition, their people," Shamir notes.
The doctrine of the Christian Zionists has deep theological contradictions with evangelical principles, the interlocutor notes.
"In my view, this is in no way compatible with Christianity. This is the opposite of the evangelical teaching. Christianity is the way of Christ and Christian Zionism is the way of Jews and applauding the crucifixion at Calvary. Christians are outraged by this. Anglican priest Stephen Sizer described in detail the origins of this movement and showed how through a certain interpretation of the Bible it gained widespread distribution in the United States,” Shamir noted.
Evaluating the influence of Christian Zionists on US politics, he emphasized that it was not a formal decision-making center but a constant pressure factor.
"This is the auxiliary force, which the [terrorist] DAESH was. You can't say they control everything but they are always for war, for unconditional support of Israel and against everyone else, against Christians and Muslims. Their position is almost always directed at strengthening tough decisions and escalation," Israel Shamir said.
The statements made by Huckabee and Graham reflect not an occasional outburst of emotion, but a steady political line where many in the American establishment not only share the views of such radicals and religious sects, but also advocate for such provocations, Shamir believes.
"Hakabi is not a diplomat at all." He has never been a diplomat and does not understand what it means. It is obvious that he does not serve the interests of the America he should represent. Such rhetoric is possible and even common in the United States - a large part of society has for years insisted that Jews are always right, that Muslims need to be destroyed, and if they do not obey, they need to be bombed. These are cannibal statements, but they are rooted in public discussion," Shamir said.
Talking about how such a position is perceived outside of the United States, he stressed that many countries underestimate the depth of the ideological component of this policy.
"In Turkey, I think, they do not fully understand this and continue to believe that an equal partnership can be established with the United States. But based on a similar logic, it is not true. Some interpretations of “the promised land” refer to territories outside of what is present-day Israel. These notions are of a mythologized nature, but in practice, if interests are formulated as a priority, the US often replies: it will be done," Shamir noted.
Commenting on Sen. Lindsey Graham's remarks, he called them part of a consecutive line for escalation.
"Graham says the most monstrous things. He was recently listed in Russia to the list of terrorists and extremists. For many years, he has not missed the opportunity to harm Russia as much as possible, to shed Russian blood and encourages to give Kiev "Tamagavk" missiles to strike Moscow and St. Petersburg. It turned out that the enemies of Palestine are the enemies of Russia at the same time. Similar views are divided by many individuals. They are not justifying the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but they are straightforwardly saying that it was the right decision," the expert concluded.
