Not sure if this strays too far from the mission of the site, but I
know at least most of the lonelyegg members have a few or more food/
baking/cooking blogs, and I was thinking maybe we could keep a list of
links, so if people don't find what they're looking for here, they
have a list of other resources to check out.

When you say blogs, do you mean personal blogs, or links to things like smitten kitchen or just hungry (both of which I just perused for a few minutes before finishing this sentence and now I'm really hungry)?

Right.  That sentence didn't get finished properly, except in my head.  It should read "...have a few or more food/baking/cooking blogs that they read regularly."  I meant things like Smitten Kitchen (that plum thing looks AMAZING!) and such.

Sorry for the delay, I've been debating the point with the team (by which I mean myself).  Here are my feelings on the matter, and anyone feel free to chime in:

I don't think thelonelyegg should have links like that in any official capacity.  It would end up being a management fiasco, and eventually get so large as to defeat its original purpose of offering alternatives for your search.  I personally tend to get intimidated by too many options because a part of me feels I need to check out every one.

However, I do like the community of food bloggers and I would love to support them, so here is my proposition, which may or may not be what you meant from the beginning: the links go in user profiles (when I get to it).  This way it is less of an official list and more a personal one, you manage your own list as you like, you can see who else reads the blogs you follow, and there's (presumably) more trust in the quality of the link if you know/trust the linker.

Good deal?
