I've finished the first draft of "Return to Waypoint 5", the first in
a series of shorts that will eventually either be called "The Kage
Gray Adventures" or "Stories of the Ten Families". It's sci-fi
adventure, with a little humor and a little angst.

I'll talk more about it when I've finished typing it in.

That's right. It's handwritten. Why? Because I felt like it.

Took me about three days to write, start-to-finish, and is 25
hand-written single-spaced college-ruled pages. I'd put it at about
7500 words, but once I type it, it'll probably be less.

Believe it or not, strife with my wife inspired the main kernel of the
story, which is: Kage Gray returns to Waypoint 5, the station where,
12 years ago, he was chief of security. He's on a mission to find his
daughter, and nothing is going to stand in his way.

I've created some pretty cool alien races for this one.

Will you be posting your work here or elsewhere? I'm a big fan. Just
finished "Shell Game," so sad its over. I loved the flashback/ flash-
forward style of the story, and how the characters were realistic and
relatable. I haven't read much of your fiction, maybe you can form a
list of your works (published as well)? Well, now I have nothing to
look foreward to each Monday, but I hope to read your new work soon!

All the best to your family.
