In commemoration of the American Civil War Sesquicentennial, the Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee will be presenting in cooperation with; National Parks Service, Texas Historical Commission, Historic Brownsville Museum, Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum, and Stripes® Convenience Stores,

the 3^rd Annual Fall Symposium, November 2, 2013.

This year's main speaker will be Stephen Townsend, PhD., author of "The Yankee Invasion of Texas" as well as living historian, Mr. Wade Marcum. Following the symposium, the first-of-its-kind reenactment of the Northern Invasion will be conducted at Boca Chica Beach.
