exciting action - living history, battle reenactments, and encampments. Last year we reenacted the historic
6th Regiment USCI's greatest battle,
New Market Heights. On April 11th, we will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War's culminating event, the Confederate Surrender at Appomattox, Virginia.

Black History month is around the corner and once again The Old Barracks Museum will host hold our signature BHM event,
Three Centuries of African-American Soldiers. Fully uniformed reenactors portray black soldiers and sailors from the formative years of our country to 2oth century conflicts, with exhibits of artifacts, weapons, photos. a presentation is given by a notable author.
This year there will be a larger display commemorating the WWI Centennial.
