Star Cinema came up with a good project in "Dreamboy." Too bad that the
public didn't go all out in supporting the first Piolo Pascual-Bea
Alonzo starrer, well directed by Gilbert Perez.
Chances are Piolo and Bea will team up with their past partners, Judy
Ann Santos and John Lloyd Cruz. Their previous starrers did very well
at the box office.
It was admirable of Star Cinema to experiment on a new tandem and a
different story approach - reality show in the big screen. Perhaps
the timing was not right. But it should be said that Star Cinema
succeeded in pairing Piolo with Claudine Barretto in "Milan," one of
the big hits of 2004.
Hope to see Piolo in a really good project like Mike Chionglo's
"Lagarista" (his first starrer) and Chito Roño's "Dekada '70,"
which gave him best supporting actor grandslam.
