Hey y'all!
we have some exciting stuff coming up!
MOVIE NIGHT
tomorrow night (wednesday august 12) we will NOT BE MEETING AT CHURCH,
we will be meeting at the great mall at 630pm for our movie night. we
will be seeing the 655pm showing of ICE AGE 3. parent pick up will be
at 9pm, after the movie. students are responsible for bringing money
for their own movie ticket and any food they may want to purchase. we
will have our leadership team there to supervise and enjoy the movie
with the students, we are not providing transportation to this event
unless pre-arrange with an individual leader.
MALL HUNT
friday august 21 is our annual MALL HUNT. we will meet at the great
mall food court (entrance 4) at 630pm. from there students will be
divided into teams and their goal will be to seek out and identify the
adult youth leaders in disguise. this is a FREE event, and year after
year it proves to be a fun activoty for those who are plugged in to
the youth ministry and for visitors as well!
CHILDRENS CHURCH
it's that time again... the 5th sunday of the month is when the youth
misntry takes over the 1st-5th grade classrooms! if your student is
interested in voluteering, let albert know asap!
HOST HOMES
the school year is coming up, and with the fall comes the fall session
of theHOUSE SMALL GROUPS! this year, we are approaching small groups a
bit differently... we are looking for "host homes" for our small
groups. we are looking for families to open up their home, once a
week, and have a group of students, with leaders, come and use your
home as a small group meeting spot. we would also love for the host
family to have light snacks available for the youth coming. if you are
interested in hosting a small group, or becoming a small group leader,
please contact albert!
LEADERS
we have been blessed with an amazing leadership team, and a growth in
numbers, so we are currently looking for more leaders to join our
team! there is no one model for the person we look for, whether your
old or young, trained or not, male or female, high energy or reserved,
there is a place for you! we ar elooking for adults (over 18) who LOVE
the Lord, and LIKE students. anywhere from camps, to Wednesdays
nights, to bible studies, to fun events, to small groups, to prayer,
there are so many ways YOU can be involved with the youth of this
church! interested? contact albert at the church office for more
details!
