The Lion & The Wolf, originally scheduled to headline March 16th had a
change in plans - he got a day job!! Guess the new boss wouldn't
appreciate him flying across the pond for a gig. So the Hillside Cafe
is happy to annouce that Marci Geller (formally of Lucky 13) will step
in and save the day. Just in case you don't know her music, Marci
Geller is a piano‐based contemporary singer‐songwriter from Stony
Brook,New York. She has recently released her first solo project
since disbanding her popular trio, Lucky 13. Marci Geller is a
seasoned indie artist who is remaining grounded in the music and is
focused on sharing it with people ‐‐ and not on “fame.” She has been
pursuing her career as an independent artist since the mid‐1990s and
believes that life is even better, the musical message is even
clearer, and the success is getting sweeter as she appeals to an
audience that is intelligent and reflective about their lives and
eager to live them. The newest CD, Open Book, is a frothy mix of
irony, humor and whimsical honesty with folk sensibilities. Marci has
shared the stage with James Maddock and Vance Gilbert, both of whom
lend their voices to her CD.
Since this is a last minute thing we'd really appreciate it if you'd
spread the word on the Hillside's behalf.
What was going to be a great evening of live music, just got even
better!! See you at the show!
