I really think we're lucky to get so much new talent into our department,and now I think it's in our hands to help them grow into leaders :) and take this department forward.When the list first came out I was really excited and called each one of them and wanted to make sure they turn up because it's very important for them to feel connected to us.
I've observed all of them from when I started making the phone calls to how they were at the mts and to how responsive they still are after our meet :)
I'm going to explain why I want them with the analysis ..so I'm going to combine it ..
1)Adal Hassan-Smart,good communication and convincing skills ,he is very informed about things .He knows what he's doing and why he's doing things.He's very capable of achieving things and definitely can if he wants to..I see him growing in Aiesec if he wants to.
He might seem like one of the most capable members but it's our responsibility to see he's on track,we have a lot of capable people who usually don't do things,and I want to make sure we do that ,it's one of the most difficult things to do and I would like to take it as a challenge.
2)Tumula Vikram- Seemed like a really he has the potential to do wonders.I noticed that he had a lot of ideas bottled up and was a little hesitant to come out at once..but he slowly did and he needs that little push to take that leap of faith.something i can really connect to and understand because that's how I was.im absolutely willing to extract the best out of him and train him and help him take up higher roles in AIESEC just like I did.
3)Varsha-Is a very sweet and sincere girl.She understands things and is willing to learn.She did make an effort to be out there yesterday like the other and I want to help her stand out.Again I can connect to her on a personal level,I remember seeing aiesecers at my meets in the beginning and wanting to be like them..we've had conversations after the meet and it was really nice to know how much she liked us,and how much she wanted to grow.So again that willingness is there,all we need to do is channelise this energy and help them and us achieve our goals.
These are my top 3 preferences :)
I've Whatsapped almost all of them after the meet.. And these three I kind of connect to on a personal level..the rest of them are really talented and have an wonderful potential too.vikram and Varsha kept calling till the mts venue was confirmed,she was really interested,we just need to polish them a bit and they'll rock not only the next quarter but even the following year :D
4)Harshita-is a very inquisitive girl,didn't hesitate and asked me all her doubts.She was really interested and wanted to learn.
5)Pranav-very bold as a person.Was ready to come up first and talk during our activities.He seemed very active during all the sessions and he kept up the spirit amongst the new recs.
6)Ali-was quite,probably needs that little push..but was I interested and inquisitive again.He was paying attention to everything we did.He should probably try and be more out there.
7)Sahil-was making an effort to be a part of everything.though he was unsure of what he wanted to say he came up there and spoke.And kept up the spirit even when he was being questioned.He probably needs to improve on his knowledge and content and ideas when it comes to things :)
8)Amer-a quite and observations person.Again he had the I interest and willingness for things,which is brilliant.He was quite innovative too in his ideas.Needs to build on his convincing skills,that's about it:)
9)Vaishnavi-Hade t attended any aiesec sessions before and hence I felt she didn't connect to anything in the beginning.She was very hesitant and unwilling.But during the course of our sessions she did get a little involved and interested which is a good thing.
Just going to conclude by saying that all of then are special in their own way,I felt I could connect to the first three ,working with then will make work easier and will be easier to yield results,for them and me .
