Hi all. New to the Hactory, but a tech enthusiast who has an idea, and needs some resources to make it happen.
What I'm seeking is to build a remote control car that can be operated over the web. This isn't unprecedented - I've seen no less than 5 detailed instructables to create such a thing in some shape or form - but the actual tech is beyond me. I know it involves Frankenstein-ing an RC unit to take commands from an Arduino/Raspberry Pi, via a usb wi-fi adapter, powered by an external battery. This combines both hardware and software, and I figured the Hacktory might be the appropriate place to source some of the requisite ingenuity!
