must change, develope and be re-born, but I will not call it an end. Tomorrow morning Anissa and I will continue our adventures by heading back to North America. Specifically to Vancouver, BC for a one night stand then via Amtrak to Seattle where we will stay for a couple of weeks with our dear friends and the doggy who has been their guest that we miss so very much. On July 30 we will fly from Seattle to Fresno, CA where we will start to plan for the next phase of our lives.
We have had the most amazing trip! At the very beginning of the trip a new friend in New Zealand recommended a book "You Must Die Once" by Ian D Robinson as good reading for the trip. I saw the hardback in a book store a few days later and decided that the hardback was too heavy to carry at the time. When I was reading the cover notes of the book I learned that the title is from a Tibetan Proverb: "On each journey you must die once. The person who returns should not be the same and the person who left." Those words have been a salve for our wounds and helped restore life each time we have been challenged physically, emotionally, mentally. We are coming home not as the same people who left. We have died and been re-born on the road. We don't look too different though. Maybe a few pounds lighter or heavier depending on the last time you saw us.
We both are looking forward to spending time with our friends and family back in the USA. For our new friends around the world, we will see you soon! If you are planing to be in the US please let us know! You always have a place to stay. We will have USA phone numbers in a few weeks if you are interested send me an email and I will let you know when we have them.
Thank You ALL for you love and support. Knowing that you were and are there has been a great source of comfort. Thank You Steve McCorkle for the inspiration and encouragement to Anissa and I to fulfill this dream.
