Dear friends of GLAS
As the song goes: ‘We’re making a list and checking it twice, we’re going to find out who’s naughty or nice. John Spillane is coming to town.’
Make sure you’re on that list!
There are still a few coveted tickets available for this last show of GLAS’s 20th year and an evening with John Spillane is not to be missed. A magic night of music, songs and stories is promised with Ireland's greatest troubadour.
We will be offering Irish smoked salmon on home-made bread and other refreshments from 18.30. And it’s all in aid of one of our favourite charities the Edith Wilkins Foundation for Street Children in Darjeeling.
What they say about John Spillane:
“John Spillane seeks out the extraordinary in the ordinary …. occupies a bardic tradition with ease.” – The Irish Times
“I sing John Spillane songs everywhere I go. John is my favourite songwriter for the past ten years and I’ve been blessed to record a number of his songs. – Christy Moore
We’re grateful to Charly O’Neill’s Pub for sponsoring the traditional GLAS raffle.
