The money raised Wednesday night for the Gaza School of Music, as we celebrated 20 years of GLAS www.theglas.org could not have come at a better time. The Swiss Francs 9,100 will support whatever activity can resume at their bomb-damaged premises in the city of Gaza which can now be accessed for the first time since last March.

The star attractions on the evening were Mags McAuliffe in ‘The Humours of Bandon’ and the cast of ‘Friends Help You Move’ Will Fihn Ramsay, John Ward and Daire O’Doherty of the Geneva English Drama Society. Both shows got a rapturous reception from a capacity audience. More details and photos on our website www.theglas.orgThe Edward Said National Conservatory of Music (ESNCM) - GAZA Branch is launching a new project 'Colors of Gaza' which focusses on music and arts activities for children in the north of the Strip while work will also continue with displaced communities in the centre and south. Our support is a drop in the ocean given the scale of needs but better to light a candle than curse the dark. Many thanks to everyone who enjoys our evenings and helps us to spread the word.
