Dear friends,

It was wonderful to celebrate May Day with a full house for Conor Lovett's performance of Samuel Beckett's Molloy on behalf of the Gare St Lazare theatre company.
Swiss francs 5,300 was raised for the Edith Wilkins Foundation for Street Children in Darjeeling. This would not have been possible without your support and that of our generous sponsors. You can read a review of Molloy at www.theglas.org You can also follow us on Facebook. Any interested friends not on our mailing list can subscribe through our website.

Conor was a regular visitor to Geneva before Covid and performed for us in Beckett’s The End, Conor McPherson’s The Good Thief and Will Eno’s Title and Deed. Thursday evening was his first public outing since Gare St Lazare’s recent acclaimed production of Waiting for Godot in Los Angeles. Will Eno is in the course of writing a new piece for him.

We will soon bring you details of our next event planned for Bloomsday, June 16, when we will bring James Joyce’s Ulysses to life in a very entertaining show. Bloomsday is so called because the main protagonist in the novel is Leopold Bloom and much of the novel is devoted to following him around Dublin on that day in 1904.

We hope to see you soon.

Best wishes,

The GLAS volunteers
