Eoghan O'Sullivan, songwriter, guitarist and singer, who made his
GLAS debut some years ago, supporting Luka Bloom, will open the proceedings with his own inimitable repertoire of songs.
The Emigrants in relaxed mode
Proceeds from the evening will go to the Gaza School of Music, a branch of the Edward Said National Conseravatory of Music, which continues to teach music and singing to thousands of children trying to find something good in a life that has become precarious and traumatic in the midst of mass killing, hunger, ethnic cleansing and mindless destruction of housing, health faciltiies and other critical infrastructure. The school building has been severely damaged with the loss of over 400 musical instruments.
Since 2016, with your generosity, we have rasied over CHF 32,000 to support the musical education of children aged 6-18 but, since the war, funds raised go towards proving basic support to homeless students and staff.
