Dear friends of GLAS,
Join us for a magic night of music, songs and stories with Ireland's leading singer/songwriter John Spillane in the lovely confines of the Lutheran Church in the heart of Geneva’s old town.
We first brought him to Geneva ten years ago and the GLAS audience loved him. The singer-songwriter from Cork has performed all over the world: throughout Europe, in the USA and Canada, Australia, Zambia, Senegal, China and Japan.
Join us from 18.30 for an apero and the traditional GLAS Christmas treat of home-made brown bread with smoked salmon. We'll have empanadas too.
What they say about John Spillane:
“John Spillane seeks out the extraordinary in the ordinary …. occupies a bardic tradition with ease.” – The Irish Times
“I sing John Spillane songs everywhere I go. John is my favourite songwriter for the past ten years and I’ve been blessed to record a number of his songs. – Christy Moore
“John’s songs are the heart and soul of our island and they’ll be sung around the world for as long as there is song.” – Damien Dempsey
All proceeds will go to the Edith Wilkins Foundation for Street Children in Darjeeling, India.
We’re grateful to Charly O’Neill’s Pub for sponsoring the traditional GLAS raffle.
