Dear friends of GLAS,
The critics loved 'The Humours of Bandon' when it played at the Edinburgh and Dublin Fringe Festivals. It has toured extensively in the USA, the UK, Australia and recently played to full houses in Paris.
'Mesmerising magic' is how the Washington Post summed up this coming of age story set in the very competitive world of Irish dancing which has given birth to shows such as 'Riverdance'. Margaret McAuliffe wrote and stars in this drama as Annie, a 16 year-old Dubliner, who has a burning desire to win the Irish Open title. Will she win, and, if so, how? Here is a tale full of heart, humour and wisdom that will resonate with anyone who had a childhood passion that threatened to overwhelm their life. Help us to spread the word, it's all for a good cause.
WHAT THE CRITICS SAID:
'....witty and warm' - The Times
'....terrific one woman show...by turns sharp, charmiing and hilarious' - The Irish Times
'....witty and poignant' - The Scotsman
'a hilarious and heart warming production that is not to be missed.' - The Arts Review
'..a delight...Margaret McAuliffe is a star...sit back and enjoy this emotional rollercoaster ride.' - Broadway Baby
