Dear friends of GLAS,

There was a great response to Mikel Murfi's 'I Hear You and Rejoice' on Tuesday evening. Thank you to everyone who came along and contributed generously to the Edith Wilkins Foundatiion based in Darjeeling. Over CHF 7,000 rasied and more donations have been made directly to the Foundation. Out thanks as always to our sponsors without whom it would be difficult to stage these events.

Our Christmas concert takes place on December 9 in aid of the surviving students and staff of the Gaza School of Music which is a branch of the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music based in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. Thank you also to everyone who took the trouble to give us their feedback on Mikel Murfi's stellar performance. We will bring him back for the third and final instalment which got a five star review from the Irish Times, 'The Myaterious Case of Kitsy Rainey.' She seems to be  a woman with a long afterlife!
