2016 Supplemental Draft

Gentlemen,

Hi.

  

We are actually about to start doing stuff to get the league ready to roll.  

As you hopefully have seen, we did a coin flip to see who has the first pick in this year's supplemental draft.  Jesse Dodds emerged victorious.  Great effort out of you, sir.  So now, Mr. Dodds will choose from the available players on the rosters of Pancakes and Hammers and Who is John Galt, as well as the #1 and # 12 overall rookie selections.  After Jesse makes his first choice, Jerry will be able to choose one, then Jesse, and so on until the two have full rosters.  Once the draft is completed, I will reassign players in the ESPN site and you can start firing away at them with trade offers.  Make it quick as we will try to start the rookie draft next week.  The rookie draft will be conducted in the same fashion.  Once all that is done, we will choose the keeper deadline (currently set for midnight central time on July 31/August 1).  Then we will have a couple of weeks of dead time until the draft.  

Speaking of draft, we still need to establish when we will do that.  Going to need more input from you guys or I will just work around what we have and if you can't make it, well....

OK, now that we have that cleared up.  Let's get this party started.  

Mr. Dodds, you are officially on the clock.  Well, not really, there is no clock.  But, you know, try to send in a pick when you have access to email and a free minute.  We'll be waiting....

Best weekends in August for me are 6th and 20th. 13th is a no go - I'll be in Wisconsin for a wedding.  The 27th would require some vacation plans to change and if that day works for the majority, I'll switch some stuff around.

First weekend in Sept works also.

With the first pick in the 2016 Supplemental Draft, the Montana Unabombers select Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks.  The Pancakes and Hammers are now on the clock (the clock is only right twice a day).

Not to put too much pressure on you guys, but we need to speed it up a bit this week if we want to have any hope of keeping the keeper deadline.  I am thinking we will probably push it back by a week or two, maybe August 15th? Then we would have 2 weeks or so before the draft, which will need to be last weekend in August or first in September.  If we want to do it live at Gus' again, I need to know the date in the next couple weeks.

So far, each of you has made 2 picks (Wilson, #1 Rookie Pick, Bell and Cooper).  Only 14 more to go for each of you....  We need you guys to finish this before we can do the rookie draft, then we will set keepers.

Scherwin: #1 Rookie Pick, Cooper, Martin, Hurns, Bryant, Jones, Lockett, Brown and Kelce (I'm not giving you Dion Lewis without getting something in return)

If you want to call it a day, I will go ahead and move the players onto your rosters accordingly and will plan to leave everyone else on the roster they are currently on.  Just let me know for sure you're done first.
