2018 Season Kickoff

Gentlemen,

It's been a minute.  Hope you're all enjoying your summers.  It may not seem like it, but football season is just around the corner.  That means fantasy football season is even closer.  In fact, our 2018 draft date is tentatively set for exactly one month from today - August 18th at 1pm CT.

Before we get to that point, we have a couple things that need to happen.  The annual keeper deadline is August 1st.  that's exactly two weeks from today.  Now, I realize I've been a bit of a slacker this year and the pricing sheet was not updated (SURPRISE! IT'S UPDATED NOW AND AVAILABLE HERE) as early as we typically have it so if you all would like to push the keeper deadline a bit, let's discuss that here.

Before we get to keepers, however, we need to do the annual rookie draft.  For those who have forgotten, you can view the 2018 Rookie Draft Order HERE.  

I am proposing we kick that off as soon as possible.  I'd suggest perhaps next Monday to get things rolling.

For the first time in a while, we had no turnover in league owners so we don't have a supplemental draft this year.  That means we should be able to get moving pretty quickly.  Please respond here if you have thoughts on draft dates or dates that for sure don't work for you.  Additionally, we have a pretty small window here to implement any potential rule changes you might want.

Thanks for sending this out Jonah. I'm up to start the rookie draft whenever. August 18 doesn't work for me as a draft date unfortunately. I have a wedding that day and am the BM for it so I have no idea what I'll be doing. Are there any other dates that work?

I'm also in the camp that can't do the 11th.  Keep in mind we can always do a Sunday too.  Ideally we would eventually just say every year it's the 2nd/3rd/whatever Saturday in August and mark it down so there aren't as many conflicts.  But we're still at that point where there are weddings and what not that people can't control.

I also wanted to note that rather than going to the pricing sheet, you can also refer to the Current Rosters sheet HERE and view the league rosters with the keeper price for each player listed by them.

I have gone through and manually updated the price in the sheet for every player that was added via free agency so it should be completely up to date (you'll note kicker and defense prices aren't done because I'm lazy and if you're going to keep one you can look it up yourself).

Hey Fellas - I hope this message finds everyone doing well.  I am pretty flexible the majority of August except 8/23-25 weekend. Any consideration still possible for making this a destination draft still? (e.g. Chicago, MSP, Vegas, Denver, etc.) It'd be cool to meet those that spend my money every year.
