"The Cost" (Anti/Bonnier Amigo)
ROCK
The Frames säger att
att spelas in live.
Slutresulatet imponerar.
you gotta be pretty good at the swedish to be able to translate that
one! but - i know it got 4 stars out of 5 so - its gotta be good
right?! its a humbling experience talking with 99.9% of the europeans
im dealing with at the moment... they ALL have at least one other
language very firmly under their belts and fair play to them. be a bit
tough all round otherwise!!
cause it feels so fresh, the lads are rather looking forward to going
over for a little tourette soon and doing a bit of pr and the like.
dates below. some of these shows have sold out already and the others
(especially belgium and london) are pretty damn close, so, if you wanna
go - get your finger out. if you miss it this time around, i am
already putting the schedule together for a further and more extensive
tour in feb 07 of europe. all very exciting :0)

so, on return from that little trip out, the lads come back and spend a
bit of time at home. glen however puts his feet up for 2 days, unpacks
his european travel kit shaving plugs and packs his american suitcases
and different adaptors, and heads of with the swell season for some
opening slots with damien in the states! lovely rooms to be playing in
and im sure the tickets are moving VERY swiftly for these if theyre not
already gone by the time youre reading this. i guess check out
www.damienrice.com for any further details. note that the swell season
will NOT be playing the last minneapolis show as glen will have to fly
home after the chicago one to make it back to belfast for the snow
patrol gig. i think at the moment that its on damiens site as they ARE
playing it, which is a mistake. whilst im talking swell season, anti
in europe have picked up the rights to release the record through
europe and are trying to get it out as soon as possible now. its being
manufactured as i speak, so, if its only been available on pricey
import up until now, then it should make an appearance soon as a
regular priced album. overcoat in america have already released it as
have spunk in australia.

new years eve.
...and, as you can see from above - the lads are VERY happy to play the
stadium in harolds cross again. they havent played it in years and
remember it very fondly from gigs gone past. we really wanted to do a
pre christmas gig and with the damien tour coming in and all and dates
just being really chocka bloc elsewhere, the stadium seems like a
really good option. nice to try something a bit 'new' every now and
then too! and to balance out the 'new' we'll be back in vicar street,
feeling all warm and comfy, on new years eve to bring in the new year!

may 07 with the album still slated for a feb 20th release date. dates

this week, i have been mostly listening to miriam ingrams debut album
'trampoline'. alas, you wont find it in vast conglomerate record stores
across the globe, but if you want to check out some beautifully crafted
and in some cases, slightly uneasy songs, then you should get online to
roadrecs.com - theyll sort you out, no problem :0)
also looking fwd to the josh ritter live dvd/album which i am told is
out nov 24th.
ok. i should shut up now and go make some dinner and walk the dog
before the sun goes down and the rain comes in. take care out
there....
