Ian Lockwood is an
educator, photographer, and writer with a passionate interest in the
ecology, landscapes and cultures of South Asia. He has a special
interest in tropical forests, obscure mountain peaks and hard to see
creatures in the Western Ghats and related mountain ranges.He makes a
living as a teacher and has taught photography, environmental science
and geography at AIS/Dhaka, the United World College of India and now at
the Overseas School of Colombo. His photography has been exhibited in
Dhaka, New Delhi, Mumbai and NYC. Ian’s writing and photography has been
widely published in leading Asian magazines including Geo, Sanctuary
Asia, Asian Geographic and Frontline. Examples of his photography and
