i greet you all in the name above all names,Jesus! i hope this email finds you well(whereever ypu maybe) Prayers and i are doing great. we are excited about the wedding and praying to our rfather in Heaven that 23 December be all that he has already commanded it to be...a blessing, a day of celebration, a day to give all the praise.

we are indeed grateful and indebted to you all for everything that you are doing for us. there is no glory somrtimes in working behind the scenes, but our God in heaven who sees that which is done in secret will reward you above and beyond what you can imagine.

Congratulations to two members of the Engine, Nyasha(transport) and Oscar(multimedia) bwho wedded on 04 October. you did well! Mwari vakuropafadzei, may you and your wives be a blessing to the nations. we obviously wont be seeing yopu this monday...ha ha ha!

i would like to encourage each department to work with speed in securing whatever it is you need. plaese call The wedding managers if there are any payments that need to be taken care of, it is my desire and Prayers as well that we should have paid and secured verything by 30 November.

thankyou Mai Mateta and ofcourse Elder Mateta, our beloved marriage Mentors.

God is indeed awesome, he is faithful! thanks to Brian and Lillian for directing us to a very reasonable hiring company. we managed to fully pay for 500 chairs and 50 tables! praise God for that! today, together with Patience, Myn Fayie and Vimbai, we will go and see what else we can pay for towards the wedding, the cutlery and the linen and whatever else that needs to be hired.

we are excited that finally we sre taking off, with such a cloud of witnesses and Jehovah Jireh we will have a wonderful wedding and it will be marvellous in our sight. it will be a day that we will all give glory to God and worship him.

i apologise to those who are not yet on this link, we are working to rectify that.

please continue to pray for us, minamato yenyu yakakosha! pray for provision, pray for people to be ministerd to, pray for favour. God gave me favour yesterday when i went to ask for the U.S$200 i had paid kunodhura. the guy understood akati ndiuye kuzotora!

on Friday, Myn Fayie, Patie and myself went to Nellies Hiring company(the same company we got our chairs and tables)we made a deposit for the following:

Thank you Mr Mateta for the update on the agenda for tomorrows meeting. Just thot I should give an update from this end as well. By the time you all read this there'll be approx 65 days to go till the 23rd of Dec! 

 

The Invitations are on their way and should arrive in Harare, Zimbabwe by the 21st of Oct. Some of them have been assembled but at least 80% of them need to be assembled.

 I also sent the place cards, which Patience Chikandwa will calligraph with a thank you message from Honey and I.

Ribbons, balloons, etc are also in the package.

I'll be leaving for China in a few weeks time to purchase most of the wedding clothes and apparel.

That'll be all from me. I'll crash in on your meeting on Monday.

 

Miss you all terribly and cant wait to see you. Honey I miss you the most.

its amazing how being a part of a team can bring you closer and see each other in the "right" light. you are all taking this wedding so seriously and with such passion its humbling. Prayers and i thank God each day for giving such an amazing group of friends. so feel free, and do all the ideas you all wanted to do at your weddings so many months and years ago...trust me...i am game! Lol! just keep to the Gold and chocolate brown, the rest they will do thega!

i would like to encourage us to work on proposals for the different portfollios so that the managers can file them and action them. for example,

the Catering portfollio- the exact Menu for the day, the exact foodlist in all its detail

Music and entertainment- names of members of the band, the musicians, their physical addresses, contact numbers,full list of required instruments for both venues etc

Venue excellence- full list of Chief waiters and Chief ushers, waiters and ushers, their physical addresses and contact numbers, proposed dates for rehearsals,training,

Multimedia and publicity- proposed number of CDs and DVDs, how many laptops are required, how many digital cameras you can source, do they have rechargeable batteries or they will need to be supplied, how many SD cards are needed? how many overhead projectors,etc

i could go on but i guess we all have a rough idea of what we are talking about. being organised makes life a whole lot easier i think!

And on the Catering note, for the catering team- one of my hearts desires is to have 2 whole roasted goats like in a corner somewhere all decorated and pple can be just coming and slicing away. If you could inquire if Hodora can do that, if not there's a particular man called Va Benhura who used to be in the army, he cooked at a lot of church functions back in the day and he'd do the goat really well. He is in the FOG Masvingo church and I'm sure he'll be coming but we might just want him to help us for the goat. Bvunzai ma ruby, ndivo vaiwanzo dealer navo.

 

And for the decor and venue excellence team I thot I'ld share what I have in mind. Our theme is gold and chocolate. Everything is going to be either gold or chocolate( except ceremony tent, lining and table cloths). Our tables will be named after chocolates(cadbury, toblerone, ferrero rocher, guylian but not freddo). Our cake is a chocolate cake. There'll be little vases of chocolate something all around the venue. Instead of flowers, we have chocolate. We'll have chocolate fountains around the cake stand, 3 or 5 of them. Our centrepieces, chocolate! Our favors you guessed right, chocolate! We'll also have other favors but those come with , chocolate! We're going to have so much chocolate at this wedding you'll never eat chocolate another day. If we cant get it in chocolate then, we'll get it in gold. We got some beautiful gold spray paint, here they call it ice so we have gold ice and we're going to be icing everything gold. We would spray paint some pple gold if we could so we have gold and chocolate pple at the wedding(LOL) This might sound a little far -out to most of you. But for the next 60 or so  days, think chocolate, think gold and you'll be amazed at how everything actually comes in chocolate or gold.

 

And for the Venue excellence team, the venues belong to you. You are in charge on the day! You own the ushering, you own the catering, you own the decor, you own the cleaning, you own our guests. everyhting that happens on the venue - you're in charge of it. You make the venue excellent. Without you, we dont have a venue, just a hall!

 

   The reason I'm going on and on is you wont be able to hear from me for the next couple of days. Its end of semester, that means assignments are due. So I got to get down to business. And on the note Honey said about you doing all the ideas you wanted at your weddings, he's right, feel free but please just keep it chocolate and gold!..

If God blesses us with 7 kids we'll definetly need to reunion the engine room coz you guys have fire in your bones! In Australia we'd say You Rock Team! 

 

Honey and I thank God for you and speak a blessing of a hundred fold harvest in your marriages, lives and families.
