We would like to remind you good people that the Houston Press is taking
nominations for it's annual music awards, and we know that TDU is your
favorite Experimental/Avant Garde band in Houston and that you would get
really pissed if your boys were overlooked..that's why you should go here:

and nominate The Defenestration Unit in the Experimental/Avant Garde
category. You don't have to live in Houston to nominate and you don't have
to fill in every category....make sure they get it right the first time so
they don't have to feel your wrath. TDU loves you...
Art Car Weekend is upon us! This Thursday night at 8:15 we will be playing
the lot party at the Art Car Ball with special guest Joe Mathlete sitting
in! The Ball will be a the Sons of Hermann Hall at 100 Yale Street.
Saturday Afternoon May 12 will find us jamming atop our art car entry "Make
Noise Not War" in the 20th Annual Art Car Parade with George Clinton serving
as Grand Marshall. TDU will be in heaven. Parade starts at Taft, heads
toward downtown on Allen Parkway, loops around the Heritage Society at Bagby
and comes back the other way. Parking in downtown lots and wherever you can
find it. Parade starts at 1pm.

Saturday Night May 12th (actually Sunday May 13th) at 3 AM. Yes, you read
that correctly 3 AM, we will be playing serious ZOMBIE ROCK at Notsuoh's
Anniversary Bash! We're crazy to attempt it..but we love Notsuoh..and so
should you. Gonna be a party that lasts until the sun comes up..bands
upstairs, downstairs, and on the roof!

Sunday May 13th we will be at SuperHappyFunLand at the BBQ Potluck and Art
Show with the amazing Attic Ted from San Marcos, The Carnys from Austin, The
Bird Names from Chicago and Smoke Detector from Austin. Not sure yet when we
are playing, but I'll be there at three to see the other great bands and
take in the art show..I am guessing TDU will play around 5 or so..I'll let
you know if that changes.
Phew! What a weekend! Tdu loves the rock-n-roll lifestyle.
