In the 90's. I remember the existence of an accounting software using Paradox tables.

I cannot remember the name.

Does anyone remember some names, if any?

Adapta seems to have disappeared.

I wonder if, for any of these old software there is a chance of getting the source code.

I do not want to create an accounting software from scratch. But if I could find a base tool, like Adapta, I could use it as a kind of template.
Since I have used Paradox for a long time, from 1984 to around 2008, this would easier for me to adapt the code.
I have a fairly extensive database running, but if I could create a basic accounting module, this would help for the accounting of the organization.

Adapta was written in Delphi, I believe.  And if I remember right, by some dude in Chicago (1-man operation, but I could be remembering wrong).  The tables were Paradox, but not the code.  If you can find an accounting program that gives you access to, for example a SQL (MS, MySQL, whatever) database, then you should be able to integrate it with your Paradox system via queries.

FWIW.

This is all that I could find on Adapta and they were the only Paradox based complete accounting software that I could find back in the 80's. They were selling the source code for about $7000. You might try to reach Peter Wolf. He would know, if he's still around. I don't have the source code. Good luck!
